Sarasota Hotel Reviews - Holiday Inn Lakewood Ranch

Consistently Excellent. “I have been visiting Sarasota for 20 years and for the past 5 years my top choice for mid-range excellence is the Holiday Inn Lakewood Ranch. From the front desk and business center service, the wait staff at the attached Alamo restaurant, the room size and cleanliness, the pool and fitness room, this hotel is unbeatable time after time. It's location is excellent with a beautiful lake view (ask for the back view) and the wonderful blue herons, giant egrets, and other birds playing on the lake. While situated in a very quiet location, a Publix and Walgreens is within walking distance and a super Target and downtown Lakewood ranch with great restaurants and shopping is a five minute drive. Graudation “We went to see our son's graduation from ODA and stayed at this hotel. We have stayed at other properties in Sarasota, but this one was the best! The staff is extremely helpful and accomodating. This property has been redone and is beautiful! They also have a restaurant on the grounds that we had both breakfast and dinner that was very good. We were VERY impressed! “Although I always read hotel reviews before I reserve a room, this is the first review that I have ever written. I was so impressed with this hotel; it seemed like a luxury hotel, certainly a 4 star hotel. I base this on the beautiful lobby, the extra large room, the new condition and quality of the carpeting, bedding, etc, and the amenities were top-notch! Their decorator should get a bonus! Cleanliness was of upmost importance to this hotel and to me. Attached to the hotel is a nice restaurant with reasonable prices and wonderful food. My only advice is to look up at the top of the building for the Holiday Inn sign because there isn't any at the entrance. It's located in a very nice and safe area. We will definitely stay there again when in the area. We were VERY impressed and it was unlike other Holiday Inns in which we have stayed. I had the pleasure of being in town for business in February. I was referred by the client that I was in town to see. I was really looking for a property near to them, but wanted a Ritz Carlton. I have to thank the persistent assistant at my client for singing the Holiday Inn Lakewood Ranch praise's. This was a fabulous hotel in a great location. I was also pleasantly surprised when I had Dinner in their restaurant, the Alamo Steakhouse Grill. My meal was excellent and service was superior. I strongly advise anyone needing to be in Sarasota for business or pleasure, to stay at this hotel and experience the Alamo!” - March, 29th
